This beloved, family-owned Italian restaurant and fresh pasta shop is known for its delectable homemade dishes from chef Paola Da Re and her family. Specializing in "cucina casalinga" (Italian home cooking), it pairs beautiful homemade pastas with slow-cooked, made-from-scratch sauces. A dedication to authentic northern Italian cuisine, combined with their engaging family story and penchant for giving back to the local commuity, makes them a standout in Los Angeles' culinary scene. Starting from a small café in Arlington Heights, Pasta Sisters expanded to a larger location in Culver City's Helms Bakery District in 2018. In 2019, they launched the Pasta Sisters Truck, bringing their fresh pasta to various locations across LA. Savor a sit-down dinner in outdoor patio, or grab some fresh pasta to prepare at home and enjoy.

Carasau Ristorante

Carasau Ristorante offers an authentic Sardinian dining experience that distinguishes it from other local Italian spots. Hailing from the Sardinian mountain town of Sinnai, chef and owner Vincenzo Porcu brings a rich culinary heritage to Los Angeles, having worked in the restaurant industry since the age of 14. After relocating to LA in 2005, he opened Carasau to showcase traditional Sardinian cuisine, a rarity in the city. The menu showcases unique Sardinian dishes such as Culurgiones, potato-filled ravioli with tomato sauce, mint, and pecorino cheese, and Fregola di Mare, a Sardinian pasta similar to couscous, traditionally made by hand and prepared in a process similar to risotto. There's also a nice café that serves Italian coffee and pastries, sharing another delicious element of Sardinian culture with the city.

Nardo Culver City

With locations in Culver City and Huntington Beach, Nardo offers guests an authentic dining experience inspired by the Puglia region. Founded by award-winning restaurateur Gianni Chiloiro, the name "Nardò" honors Gianni's mother's maiden name; growing up, the pair spent countless hours in the kitchen preparing seafood, homemade pastas, and pizza. Nardo's menu puts a contemporary twist on traditional Southern Italian dishes, such as pairing homemade Gnocchi Ortolana with oyster mushrooms, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, shallots, garlic, and basil pesto sauce. Another standout is the authentic Neopolitan-style pizza, prepared in a custom Stefano Ferrara wood-fired oven imported directly from Naples. Opened in 2024 and designed by architect Oswaldo Mesia and with interiors from Francesca Grace, the Culver City location pairs bright white walls and tropical plants with colorful murals and lighting.

Roberta's Pizza

Originally hailing from Bushwick, Brooklyn, the Culver City outpost of Roberta's Pizza opened in 2018, bringing their signature culinary style to the West Coast. Co-founded by chefs Carlo Mirarchi and Brandon Hoy, the restaurant is famed for its bespoke approach to Neapolitan-style, wood-fired pizzas, blending traditional techniques with creative toppings. Guests can indulge in signature creations like the "Famous Original," featuring tomato, mozzarella, Parmigiano, caciocavallo, oregano, and chili, or the "Bee Sting," topped with soppressata, chili, honey, and mozzarella. The menu also offers house-made pastas and salads, always using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Victor Jr.'s

A fixture in the Culver City dining scene for over two decades, Victor Jr.'s is a family-owned Italian-American eatery. Starting his culinary journey at eight, founder Victor M. spent over 40 years working with his father at Victor's Meat and Deli before launching Victor Jr.'s in 2000. In March 2022, long-time employee Chet took over ownership, continuing the legacy. Prepared fom scratch daily, notable menu items include their specialty 18-inch pizzas like the Meat Lover Pizza, topped with homemade Italian sausage, pepperoni, smoked ham, meatballs, and bacon; classic hot sandwiches such as the Philly Cheesesteak and Meatball Parmesan; plus fresh salads, pasta dishes, and homemade desserts, including Teresa's famous chocolate chip banana bread.

Cento

Cento began as a daytime pop-up in December 2015, transforming Mignon Wine Bar in Downtown Los Angeles into a lunchtime pasta destination several days a week. Chef Avner Lavi, who previously honed his pasta-making skills at renowned establishments like Bestia and Sotto, operated the spot as a one-man show—taking orders, preparing dishes, and engaging with diners inventive pasta creations, such as beet-stained spaghetti with poppy seeds, chives, and whipped goat cheese. After gaining a dedicated following, Cento Pasta Bar transitioned to its permanent location in West Adams, where it continues to serve its signature pasta dishes in an elegant, fine dining setting.

Bacari West Adams

Originally established as Bacaro LA in 2008, Bacari has evolved from a popular USC student hangout into a refined, cozy, and stylish restaurant and wine bar, offering Mediterranean-inspired small plates. In 2018, after a brief renovation, it was rebranded to Bacari West Adams to reflect its deep ties to the historic neighborhood. Founded by brothers Danny and Bobby Kronfli, both USC alumni, alongside Executive Chef Lior Hillel, Bacari West Adams is part of the Bacari Restaurants group, which has expanded to multiple locations across Los Angeles. Guests can enjoy Italian-style tapas known as cicchetti, with standout dishes like Noa's Cauliflower—caramelized cauliflower with chipotle sauce and mixed greens—and the Asian Pear & Brie Pizza, topped with guava fromage blanc, wild arugula, and grey salt. The restaurant also offers a rotating selection of small-production wines, eclectic beers, and unique craft cocktails.
